Terms of Service

GuestPal allows vacation rental hosts (“Hosts”) to create digital guest guides for their properties, including house information, equipment instructions, local recommendations, and an AI-powered guest chat assistant. Guides are accessed by guests (“Guests”) via a shared link or QR code; Guests are not required to create an account.

You must provide accurate, current information when creating a Host account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@guestpal.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Host account.

• ✓GuestPal offers a Free plan and a paid "Pro" subscription plan, billed monthly, with optional add-ons (such as additional property slots) at the prices displayed at the time of purchase.
• ✓Subscriptions automatically renew each billing period until canceled. You may cancel at any time through your account's Billing page; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.
• ✓All payments are processed securely by Stripe. GuestPal does not store your full payment card details.
• ✓Refunds are not guaranteed but may be issued at our discretion. If a refund is issued, your subscription tier will be adjusted to reflect the refunded payment.
• ✓Prices are subject to change with reasonable advance notice for existing subscribers.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the content you upload to your property guide(s), including house rules, safety information, equipment instructions, and local recommendations. GuestPal does not verify the accuracy of Host-submitted content and is not responsible for any harm, loss, or dispute arising from inaccurate or outdated information provided by a Host to their Guests.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• ✓Upload unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent content
• ✓Impersonate any person or entity
• ✓Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
• ✓Violate any applicable law or third-party rights

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

GuestPal uses third-party AI services (including Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini) to help generate guide content, translate content, and power the guest chat assistant. AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Hosts are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing it to Guests, and GuestPal is not liable for decisions made by Guests in reliance on AI-generated chat responses.

Guests may view published property guides and submit questions to the chat assistant or optional feedback without creating an account. By submitting a question or feedback, you acknowledge it may be visible to the Host and stored as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive personal information (such as financial details or government ID numbers) through the guest chat or feedback features.

GuestPal and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GuestPal and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Hosts retain ownership of the property-specific content they upload (text, photos, local recommendations), and grant GuestPal a limited license to host, display, translate, and process that content solely to operate the Service.

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (data infrastructure), Anthropic and Google (AI services), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). We are not responsible for outages, errors, or issues caused by these third-party providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to maintain Service availability.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuestPal and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory of liability and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GuestPal and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, with or without notice, at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
